JESS MOVEWearables
Integrations
Seven providers.
None of them required.
The floor of this product is a phone that receives a text message. A wearable improves the estimate; it never gates the experience. Every connection is revocable on its own, and this page states exactly what revoking each one costs — because "you can turn it off" means nothing if nobody tells you the price. None of the seven can be connected today, and the last column of the table says what each one is waiting for rather than leaving you to find out by pressing a button.
What connects
Two of them never let your data off the phone.
On-device providers classify locally and hand over a summary. Cloud providers already hold your data — connecting them shares it with us as well, and the table says so rather than implying a difference that does not exist.
How stale a reading is by the time we see it
minutesThe lightweight tier reaches any phone that receives a message. 4 delivery tiers exist precisely so a wearable is never a prerequisite.
Past this, a reading is labelled rather than used silently. A confident number from three hours ago is worse than an honest gap.
What is refused
Nine data types we could have, and do not take.
Several of these are available from the providers above with one extra scope. They are deliberately left on the table.
ECG traces and arrhythmia notifications
Blood oxygen readings
Blood glucose
Blood pressure
Menstrual cycle detail beyond an optional user-set phase
Fertility indicators
Medication logs
GPS traces and route history
Continuous raw heart-rate time series
Why, when somebody inevitably asks
Each of these either edges the product toward a medical-device claim, or creates a re-identification surface that no movement recommendation is worth. The engine has never needed them to place a two-minute movement in a real day.
Revocation
Turning one off degrades one input. Here is which.
This table is rendered verbatim in the consent centre. Every row names what gets less precise and what carries on working, because a consent screen that only lists what you lose is designed to stop you leaving.
| Scope | Loses precision | Still works |
|---|---|---|
| stepscount, today so far | Sedentary detection falls back to device inactivity and calendar structure. | Gaps are still found. They are found slightly later in a long sitting block. |
| heart rate trendbeats per minute, most recent resting value | Readiness stops accounting for cardiovascular strain. | Readiness uses sleep, your check-in and completion history instead. |
| sleephours, the last main sleep | Low Energy Day is triggered by your own check-in rather than automatically. | Recovery and fatigue logic is unchanged; it just asks rather than infers. |
| recoverymilliseconds, heart-rate variability (SDNN) | Intensity ceilings are set more conservatively. | Conservative is the safe direction. Nothing is blocked. |
| workoutsminutes of deliberate exercise, today so far | Deliberate exercise is not credited automatically. | You can log it in two taps, and Effort Equivalence treats it identically. |
| body measurementskilograms, most recent body mass | BodyCommand trajectory widens its cone. | Every pathway still runs. Under 18, this scope is never requested at all. |
Four guarantees on disconnecting
shown before you connect- Takes effect immediately — no sync cycle, no support ticket.
- Deletes data already ingested from that provider within 24 hours.
- Never disables another provider, and never disables the product.
- Reconnecting later starts fresh rather than restoring the old history.
The disclosure, before a single tap
Garmin, as an exampleAccesses: steps, heart rate trend, sleep, recovery, workouts.
Why: To place a movement at a moment you can actually take it, and to stop suggesting anything on a day your body is asking for a break.
Will not access: 9 data types, listed above.
To disconnect: Settings → Connections → Garmin → Disconnect. One tap.
Disagreement
Two watches disagree more often than anyone expects.
Resolution is deterministic and stated: freshest first, then on-device over cloud. And when the sources are far enough apart, the engine stops picking a winner and widens its own uncertainty instead.
Three sources, one step count
21.6% apart| Source | Reading | Age | Used |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fitbit | 5,240 | 34 min | — |
| Apple Health | 4,110 | 6 min | chosen |
| Garmin | 4,880 | 220 min stale | — |
Freshest reading, and it never left the device. Garmin was dropped for being past the 3-hour staleness line rather than for being wrong.
Tolerance is 15%. This exceeds it, so readiness carries a wider band today rather than a false precision.
Freshest, then on-device over cloud, then the provider that natively owns the scope. Deterministic, so the same inputs always give the same answer.
Connect nothing, and start anyway.
Every wearable is optional and individually revocable. The platform finds your gaps from the shape of your day whether or not a watch is involved.
